Coupon Craze

I don’t know about you but I love crazy couponers; People who go to the grocery store and end up making more than they spend. They are people who could feed their family for years on just a few dollars. It’s inspiring and it kinda feels like magic. This person just went into a market -a place that does everything it can to get you to spend more- and this person paid practically nothing for thousands of products. I’m honestly in awe of such skills!

How do they do this? How did they take their spending to a level where they end up saving rather than losing thousands?

The answer lies in how you prepare for your shopping trips.

1.) Stay Organized

When it comes to shopping nothing’s worse than having a coupon for something and not being able to find it. You can put your coupons in an accordion folder and rubber band them together. Have it in some sort of order, whether it’s organized by brand or by product doesn’t matter. You just want to make sure that you can find whatever you need, whenever you need.

2.) Make a List and Check it Twice!

Keep multiple lists -preferably on a computer- of your coupons, and of the deals going on that week. Now, don’t just write down what coupons you have. What you want to do is write down is what that coupon is for, how many multiples of that coupon you have, and how much it takes off the original price (Ex: 25% off, $1.00, etc.). I also recommend you write down the size of the product allowed to buy since you’ll want to buy the smallest version of that product.

Buying the smallest sizes will cost less and you’ll save more. The reason being is that usually, the larger quantities cost a lot more for just a little extra. A tube of toothpaste can cost a dollar more for a few ounces extra so buy as much as your coupon will allow you and in the smallest size that it will allow you.

3.) Make a Match!

Now that you’ve got your list, you can now match your coupons with the deals going on at the store. By matching deals with your coupons then you can ensure that you're getting the best price possible so buy as much as you can while the price is good.

One thing that you can look out for is BOGO (buy one get one) deals which are the best since you can use a coupon on both items and save twice as much.

Prepare for your shopping trips and you’ll have huge savings to match you hard work. Eventually, you will have huge savings and you can do whatever you please. Remember that every dollar saved is a small victory and another step to wealthy living. In fact, many millionaires gained their wealth by using such methods to save money.
